Best of Lancashire Awards Ceremony

25th October, 2021

We attended the Best of Lancashire Awards ceremony this year, celebrating the bravery and achievements of adults and young people across the county.

We believe that all of the children and young people who come into foster care display tremendous bravery and courage on a daily basis and so sponsoring the Inspiring Young Adult Award seemed a natural choice for Excel Fostering. We were absolutely delighted to present the award to winner, Maddison Farrar who has been running MacMillan coffee mornings at school to raise money since her grandma passed away. A big well done to Maddison for all her hard work in her grandma’s memory.

Other awards included:

  • Community Champion Award
  • Pride of Lancashire
  • Environmental Sustainability Award
  • 999 Hero Award
  • Act of Bravery Award
  • Grass Roots Sports Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Young Person of Courage Award
  • Armed Forces Hero Award
  • Charity Fundraiser Award
  • Green Champion Award

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as all the nominees and then winners were announced. More than 230 people attended and heard emotional stories of courage, care and community involvement.

It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the ceremony with such inspiring people and we look forward to next year’s awards.
