This message was sent to one of our foster carers by a young lady who was placed with them. She had a baby and remained with them until she was ready to move on.
To C,
Happy Mother’s Day to someone very special to us both!! You may not be our blood related family but that doesn’t mean anything! You was the one who made me smile, watched me grow, wiped my tears away and told me everything was going to be ok!
You supported me through the biggest decisions and kept me in your home even though I chose to have my baby! You love my daughter as your own and that’s something I couldn’t thank you enough for, B absolutely adores you as her nana and I can’t thank you enough for taking me in and caring for me as much as you did, especially when I went through everything with d******d.
You didn’t just see me as a foster child you saw me as your own daughter which meant the whole world to me. Not only you but your whole family which I couldn’t be anymore grateful to have an amazing family like you all, it’s so hard for me especially with B as there’s a difference in my (blood) family and yours!! And you know what that is... you all know what love is and yous know how to be there when I need yous the most and B needs a family she can truly rely on and that’s you lot! It’s hard to say that I don’t even trust my own family with her and that I always come to you first as your my family and B’s nana that she actually feels comfortable around and I know she is safe.
You changed my life, but you changed my life in the best possible way nobody could ever imagine. I’m so happy, the happiest I’ve ever been and that’s all down to being in a happy home and having a happy life, you all, B and T are my family.
Thankyou for loving me and B as your own.
